Farm grappa was born in Tuscany when my Master, GIOACCHINO NANNONI transformed an old manor house in the middle of the Maremma countryside into the distillery that gave birth to Brunello Grappa.

He was the first to believe in the potential of our territory, together with a few other "winemakers" who in the SEVENTIES "rolled up their sleeves" and created companies that are now known and appreciated throughout the world.

Even today, over twelve years after his death, I remember when we were walking together in the company and he said to me "See, Priscilla, here there is the quality of life"... and I really think he was right: in this territory that everyone envies us, where making grappa forty years ago was a gamble because the distillation of artisanal grappa in the consumer's imagination was either Trentino or Friulian or Piedmontese, in addition to there being a grappa of great quality, the most important quality is precisely that of the territory.

He also told me "The distillery is a time eater"... at the time I couldn't understand how those years of his could have flown by, from 1973 (the year the distillery was founded) to 1997 (the year of my first distillation campaign). Now that I'm on my twenty-third distillation, I think he was right in this too...

Every time I look at the distillery I imagine him proud to see that his teachings were not in vain and it is to him that I dedicate every medal and every success.
