Carmine's deep knowledge of meat comes from afar; in fact, Carmine belongs to the third generation of butchers.
His passion and entrepreneurial spirit drove him to learn the art of cured meat production.
In 1996, Carmine founded Salumificio Carbone, which he runs alongside his wife Margherita. The company's mission is to produce typical Lucanian cured meats from naturally raised white pigs and native black pigs raised in the wild, guaranteeing authenticity and quality to its customers.
This is how the first two product lines, Pork and Black Pork, were born. The meats, expertly prepared in full respect of the artisanal processing process, are flavored with local spices, such as Senise chili pepper and wild Lucanian fennel.
