The crunchy, composed of caramelized sugar and almonds, finds in its variant with hazelnuts a full flavor and a marked crunchiness.
The crunchy is mentioned in a Spanish text of the second half of the fifteenth century and this could lead us to think that its birth took place in Spain. However, many argue that this typical dessert has Italian origins, born around the 13th century in Southern Italy as a derivation of an Arab dessert, made with almonds, honey, sugar and spices.
Our hazelnuts are PGI hazelnuts from the Langhe, considered the best in the world, they give unmistakable aroma and scent.
