Organic Tortiglioni

Maccheroncini are organic short pasta made from whole durum wheat Senatore Cappelli semolina, the result of crossing the variety "Rieti" and the Tunisian cultivar "Jenah Rhetifah". A grain that has never undergone genetic manipulation, resulting highly digestible and with a high content of proteins, vitamins and minerals.

The Tortiglioni form is one of the oldest forms of the so-called extruded dry paste, originating in Naples, it is a cylinder with spiral grooves in the length of the cylinder. Not to be confused with the Rigatoni, originally from Rome, which have the grooves lengthwise but straight on the cylinder. You can use either shape for recipes.
